Hooked On Phonics Pre-K Letter Sounds Workbook Review
I purchased these to help my 3 year old recognize letter sounds in a word. While she knows the sounds letters make by themselves, she seemed to be a little confused when they were in a word. The exercises are fun for her and the directions are easy for parents to explain to younger children.
I am considering home schooling for her younger years but this workbook would also be good for parents wishing to do a little extra for their children.
Thia book motivates children by using colorful pictures, and allowing them to perform the work book activates by coloring, circling or drawing a line though a small maze to connect the letter with the sounds. When a page is finished the child also gets to put a sticker on the page as well as a pull out letter chart. The stickers are a great motivator for my daughter she just loves them.
